"I've done a lot of traveling in the last year but this area will always have a special place in my heart. Some of my all time favorites memories have taken place here so when I heard about the Eagle Creek Wildfire my heart sank. The worst part of all is that this wildfire could easily have been prevented simply by obeying the Leave No Trace principles. With the advancement of technology, the ever growing presence of social media, and the desire to connect with nature it's now more important than ever to be RESPONSIBLE and RESPECTFUL when playing in Mother Nature's backyard. This planet can't speak for itself so it's our duty to protect where we play by speaking up and educating others to prevent other disasters like this from happening in the future.Shout out to all the fearless firefighters, first responders, and volunteers who are giving their all trying to contain this disaster.
