Now that you’ve met our favourite loud and lively lads from #Liverpool- @wholovesthisgeneration we think it’s time you all got to know them a bit better. I think the only way to understand it is to be stood in front of it and watch us live on stage. That’s the only time it makes sense to us really.’ || DO YOU GUYS HAVE A GIG YOU’VE PLAYED THAT HAS STOOD OUT FOR YOU? |‘Supporting Slaves in our hometown of Liverpool. It was our first ever gig as ‘Generation’ and it was mental. [It was at] The Zanzibar - shout out to Tony Butler (legend) – it was rammed. The walls were dripping with sweat and to be able to open up for someone who you were listening to the day before was just top… everything about it was top.’ | We have massive love for that place. |WHAT SONG OR ALBUM DO YOU WISH YOU’D WRITTEN AND WHY? |‘'Funhouse' by The Stooges. Purely because we’d never heard anything like it before. Me and our Jay grew up on our Dad’s northern soul and funk music, like Funkadelic, Edwin Starr etc. We were latecomers to the rock music scene, and to hear that album at the age of 17/18 just opened up a whole new world to us. It seemed like overnight we were writing this music that fused raw teenage emotion with day-to-day life. It was special - to us at least.’ |WHAT DOES THE FUTURE LOOK LIKE FOR GENERATION? |‘We’re back in the studio recording a new single. All we can tell you for now is that it sounds massive and we can’t wait for you to hear it. Other than that we’re just gigging constantly up and down the country preaching the Generation Gospel.
