ALL THE CLUBS HAVE BEEN CLOSED DOWN

As an independent and British brand, Underground knows more than most how it is to be the outsider and the underdog. Starting from nowhere and with nothing to it’s name- it is a brand that treasures the importance of support from wherever it may come. And it’s never something that we forget. It is that spirit that ensures that we remain close to and supportive of those that may be starting their journey, or those that struggle for independence and to retain their authenticity.

For us- a vibrant live music scene is vital for the musicians and DJ’s that are trying to make their mark. There have too many closures of clubs and live music venues across the UK in recent years. The advance of the corporate culture, the digitisation of everything and the imposition of wide sweeping measures to curb nightlife have left many live music venues and clubs closed, or on the brink of closure.

As an independent brand we have always given our voice to the cause of live music venues and clubs. We speak of it regularly, we encourage our followers to support live music, and we always look out for the new music acts that need support from wherever they can find it. Any initiative to support those clubs and venues gets our backing.

We might not be able to give much but what we give is sincere and authentic. What we can do is encourage every one of our followers to go out and support your local band, your local venue, and your local club. You need them, the artists need them, we all need them.

This town ain’t going to be no ghost town.

All the clubs have been closed down- and it’s not a lament, it’s a rallying call.
