Video by @Joel Sartore | This Suwannee alligator snapping turtle is one of two species of alligator snapping turtles that have a very unique way of attracting prey. They lay completely still and open their mouths wide to display the tip of their worm-like tongues, which they wiggle to draw fish directly into their mouths. Then, as their name implies, they snap their jaws shut with great speed and force to finish the job.
