Tate St Ives has reopened after 18 months of refurbishment with The Studio and The Sea, a season of two exhibitions about the ceramics studio, the ocean and landscape. Large scale paintings, films and sculptures by British artist Jessica Warboys fill the ocean facing galleries this summer. To create her paintings, Warboys worked on the beach, casting mineral pigments directly onto a damp, folded canvas, which was then submerged under the sea before being pulled ashore.
