An Amazonian tree boa (Corallus hortulanus) waits patiently amongst the fallen fruits below a fig tree, ready to prey on a spiny rat drawn in by the figs. This picture is from an expedition to Cocha Cashu biological station in Manu National Park, Peru. Our aim was to document the amazing diversity of animals that visit a fruiting fig tree deep in the Peruvian Amazon.
