“Where I come from there’s colour everywhere – the fruits, the trees – and so it’s just a part of my DNA: Caribbean people use a lot of colour. This jacket is cool, but at the same time it’s understated, and there’s this great painting on the back. I just moved to the mountains in Saint Lucia, so the tropical rainforest is quite apt… although we don’t have flamingos. The dress is quite tropical too – and it’s easy, it’s something that I can put on with heels and go anywhere, or with flip-flops or sneakers or boots for something casual. I like clothes that are easy, I’m not somebody who sits thinking for two days before an event… I prefer to take a shower and get dressed. So, it’s nice to have something to throw on, and it doesn’t wrinkle either! That’s one of the other things I love about Miu Miu: it’s always easy, the shoes are always comfortable and it’s fun, if you want you can go wild. But you can also chose to pare it back and be serious – for me, it’s the one place that you can go shopping and find something for any kind of woman: you could get something for me, or my mum, or my grandmother."
