The Bow River cuts through the forest while Castle Mountain looms overhead. This is one of the most recognizable mountains in Banff National Park as it rises sharply from the valley all by itself. It received its name back on 1858 from early pioneers who were reminded of formidable castles in Europe. I loved how the light scattered across the mountainside, as thunderstorms began to break apart. #Banff #nationalpark #canada #alberta #mountains #nature #landscape #sunset
