​Photo @lucalocatelliphoto ​CERN's Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and its experiments are ​now back in action, taking physics data for 2016 that will give us an improved understanding of fundamental physics.​ ​CERN is one of the most advanced technology centers on the planet where over eleven thousand scientists from around the world are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. They use the world’s largest purpose-built and most complex scientific instruments to study the basic constituents of matter – the fundamental particles.
I was lucky to be able to photograph the last maintenance work in ​the 100 meters underground tunnels where the experiments are. Like the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS), a general-purpose detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC)​ in the photo.
