Yesterday's post (all 1940s food in our cafeteria) was a joke. But we ARE serious about #FoodHistory. This 1970s fondue pot belonged to a New Jersey family at parties following Friday night football games and at family gatherings. A fondue craze hit America in the mid-1950s, with fondue restaurants opening in New York and other cities.
