I lost count of how many times I got too close to these #mojaveyucca's while framing out photos, (especially at night!) resulting in painful punctures while photographing #JoshuaTrees last week. Life in the Mojave Desert is a hard road for the J Tree, with heat index on the rise and compounded years of drought new sprouts are struggling. Prompting the question, "What would Joshua Tree National Park be called if there were no J Trees left?" #climatechange
