Seen here, an underwater landscape of #CyprusTrees and braided root systems. It's hard to complain about the abundance of water, however the downside is reduced nesting sites for birds that depend on higher dry ground. #EvergladesNationalPark is the third largest national park in the lower 48 states, protecting 20 percent of the original Everglades. The park is an eclectic ecosystem of both fresh and saltwater protected areas, it's home to over 30 protected species and the largest mangrove in the Western Hemisphere.
