Photo by @amivitale. Kenyan school children meet Nicky and Kitui, two of the black rhinos being carefully and lovingly raised by Lewa Wildlife Conservancy (@lewa_wildlife) rangers. The baby rhinos were orphaned or abandoned by mothers unable to care for them. It was the first opportunity for many of these children to see a rhino and for a few it will ignite their love of wild animals and passion for conservation. Educational programs are so vital to the work of Lewa and the Northern Rangelands Trust (@nrt_kenya) to strengthen these communities, who hold the key to saving Africa's great animals.
