Photo @Keith Ladzinski / Although it's presently the dry season here in #evergladesnationalpark, excessive rain has water levels higher than they often are in the wet season. Although the rain is good in many ways, the result has been an increased range of habitat for aquatic animals, with very little high ground. This could pose a problem for nesting animals in the coming months. Seen here, a small #whirlpool being siphoned into a culvert under a road in the park.
