A smoke filled sky from a nearby fire illuminates the atmosphere in a rusty red amplifying the already painted feel of the evening. St Mary's lake is the second largest in the park, 300 feet deep and a small side-fact was the lake from the opening shot of Stephen King's "The Shining" directed by Stanley Kubrick.
