An Inuit hunter runs with his dog team of huskies across the sea ice in Northwest Greenland. They are true masters of their domain. Their survival depends on their intimate connection and knowledge of this icy realm. It is fascinating to hear about the changing ice and climate through their experiences as they live and breath it everyday. If you go back to the days of Robert Peary and Franklin, before that, the Arctic crushed their ships in thick pack ice all year round. Now, the hunters have the opposite problem in that they are unable to access their traditional hunting grounds because the sea ice has disappeared. They have lost their highway.
