Photo by @jimrichardsonng Scottish Moments: Night falls on Hallaig, one of the Scottish clearances villages where the people were forced out of their homes and off the land in the nineteenth century. This site on Raasay is especially poignant, both because of its evocative location and because island poet Sorley MacLean wrote his epic poem Hallaig (in Gaelic) about this place.
