1965年に初のオールレザー・テニスシューズとして原型が登場し、1971年に偉大なるテニスプレイヤー、スタン・スミスの名前を冠したこのシューズは世界中の人々にもっとも愛されたテニスシューズと言えます。
主にレザー・アッパーを採用する「スタンスミス」のシンプルなデザインでは、3列のパーフォレーション（通気穴）が同じパターンでスリーストライプスを表現し、シュータンに描かれたアイコニックなスタン・スミスのポートレートと並びシューズのトレードマークとなっています。
2015年のスタンスミスは上質なガラスレザーを使用し、光沢感と高級感のある素材を使用。

"STAN SMITH" with minimal design mainly uses leather on the upper, and it has 3 rows of perforations to create the iconic 3 stripes.
Also there is the portrait of Stan Smith on the tongnue, both becoming the trademark of this model.
STAN SMITH 2015 model uses ultimate glass leather with gloss and luxuriousness.
Smooth Leather is used on the heel patch, bringing more brightness to the colors.
