Til and I walked with Mike until temple 48 and after we left he set off on his own finishing temples 49, 50, 51, and 52. He almost missed the closing time for temple 52 because he was in awe at the beauty of temple 51.
He phoned a 24 hour queen laundry and is planning to spend the night there tonight.
When we left him today it was sad having to say goodbye but I knew this journey is a journey that he has to complete alone. As much as we lifted his spirits the day we met up with him, the goodbyes were definitely heavy on his spirit.
Track hard my brother and it was so nice to see you today. Although I walked with you only a short distance today, I will be walking with you in spirit all the way to the last temple and for the rest of your life! 一蓮托生 Ichiren Takusho
