I was walking down Abbot Kinney last night looking at all the new shops and change that has occurred. When I walked by my shop, I thought to myself, "what a trip that I even still have a shop on AK." I partly thought it because its tough to keep a store on AK these days with all the inflated rent values and eager beavers ready to replace local businesses with their corporate ones. But the more I thought about it, I realized that we deserve to still have what we've worked so hard to build. Something more than just a brick and mortar boutique on a trendy street. There's been plenty of blood, sweat, and tears (literally) building a brand and a business that we feel is a true representation of Venice locals by embodying and catering to the local spirit. So after all that, I realized, the thought that I had simply means that I'm not spending enough time in Venice. I miss you #venice @akinneycourt I vow to spend a few more days a week with you.
