The Reichstag dome is an observation deck made of steel, glass and mirror, perched atop the Reichstag, Germany's parliament building. Opened in 1999, the dome--designed by architect Norman Foster--replaced the original dome that was destroyed in 1933, and symbolizes the unification of Germany following the Cold War.
