There’s been waves on the East Coast ever since Tammy blew out to sea. There’s just been a lot more wind. Which, as it turns out, hasn’t been a problem at all for surfers in the Deep South.

“In South Florida, we go long periods of time with no waves, so it’s always a privilege when we do get waves,” says Jupiter shredder, @elliebarimo_ . “I recently moved to Southern California, but luckily I came home during this little windswell and scored some good beachbreaks around my hometown. It was great surfing fun little barrels in warm water with friends.”
