無印良品では、1,100を超えるお店を、世界32の国と地域で展開※しています。今回は『MUJI Islington』を紹介します。

ロンドン北部のイズリントンに位置する『MUJI Islington』では、地域とのつながりを大切にした活動を実施。

地元の小学生が描いた絵をプリント・販売するマイバッグコンテストでは、入賞したバッグの売り上げを将来のアートプロジェクトへ向けて学校に寄付しています。店頭では、大きなエリアマップで地域の中小企業や慈善団体を紹介したり、地域の交流やつながりを深めるイベント『つながる市』も不定期で開催。

また店内では、ReMUJIコーナーや給水機スポット、キャンドル・エッセンシャルオイルなど、イギリスで開発した無印良品のホームフレグランス製品も取り揃えています。

MUJI Islington, located in Angel, north of London, has been implementing activities that emphasize its ties with the local community.

Most recently, we held a My Bag Competition where local school children drew what the word 'Neighbourhood' meant to them.
All profits from the sales of the winning bags were donated back to the local schools, to support future school art projects. We also hold Community market events on an irregular basis to introduce local small businesses and charities to deepen community interaction and connections.

We also feature a ReMUJI corner, water machine spots, and a selection of MUJI home fragrance products developed in the UK, including candles and essential oils.
