I overthink, I fixate on the things I haven't managed to achieve yet & compare myself to others my age. Surely I'm not the only one?? (Don't leave me hanging 😂) And it doesn't matter what fab things you've done in your life- whether you've smashed your career, got a beautiful family, got on the property ladder, found the person of your dreams or just found a really sick skincare routine that works for you 😂 If you scroll through social media long enough you can make yourself feel like you're not enough can't it? 🥹 That's why I love this quote- it reminds us to give ourselves credit for all the hard work we've done. We may not be perfect- but no one is. Life is about constantly evolving, pushing ourselves to be better, practicing kindness both to ourselves & to others & always, always being proud of how far we've come. 10 years ago I was in a job I hated, becoming a caricature of myself. I was in toxic relationships that constantly left me feeling broken which is all I thought I deserved & I tried to numb all these feelings with alcohol as I literally didn't see a way out. Fast forward to now & I would pay good money to see the look on 25 years old Vicky's face if she could only see me now.. 😂🥹 Engaged to be married to one of the kindest & most handsome men I've ever met, 2 perfect doggos, eggs in the freezer, a job I love & the opportunity to use my platform for good- to say the things I wish someone would have said to me when I was younger & struggling 🥹♥️ So next time you're beating yourself up because you haven't quite got everything figured out, you don't look like your favourite influencer, or maybe haven't got the job of your dreams just yet- imagine all of those past versions of you, standing right infront of you, all smiling and looking back at you because they are all so proud of you 🎉♥️ Because you're amazing, you've made it through so much, achieved incredible things.. & baby girl, you are just getting started 😍 and don't forget to appreciate what you YOU have- you don't want your ice cream to melt while you're counting someone else's sprinkles 🍦」10月31日 4時54分
