I know we all feel helpless and are hurting because of all the discord in the world. I was feeling overwhelmed with sadness and not able to simply function. I am grateful to @elsamariecollins and @thisisabouthumanity for inviting me to help pass out 700 coats to newly arrived asylum seekers In New York with @アメリカ・フェレーラ and @ビジー・フィリップス and many others. For anyone who is struggling right now, you might want to consider volunteering, even for just a few hours, in your local communities. There are so many organizations that can use a helping hand.

Thank you to @thisisabouthumanity for bringing community together in service of others and to the @nycemergencymanagement @zachiscol for coordinating the visit and for all the important work you are doing.
