To commemorate the 50th anniversary of his death, various events were held in France this year, and we were also able to visit some beloved spots associated with Picasso with @iwamame & @tomonaga_shinya ! The Musée Picasso Paris had a special exhibit curated by Paul Smith; it was impressive to see Picasso’s artistic world vividly expressed in Smith’s distinctive stripes! The Cote d’Azur in the South of France has been a source of creative inspiration for many artists, including Picasso. You can feel how Picasso loved this place and was loved by it at the same time. We experienced Picasso’s final days in Mougins, also in the South, through a photo exhibition, and visited the museum in Antibes, housed in his former studio. We also saw the view of the famous painting “The Bay of Cannes”! We also visited the exhibition of the Association of Ceramic Artists in Vallauris, housed in a former hairdressing salon, where Picasso used to come visit his friend, the hairdresser! Another can’t-miss Picasso stop in the South is the “Pablo Picasso National Museum, War and Peace” in Vallauris.
