What do you do when your favorite painting doesn’t fit? You build a new house. When a large-scale painting by British artist Chris Ofili begged for a new home, one Hollywood Hills resident called on Woods + Dangaran (@woods_dangaran) and Studio Mellone (@studiomellone) to design it a new one, complete with soaring ceilings, built-in wood niches, and floor-through sight lines. The result is an art-filled space that could be the envy of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, much less every lucky house guest. In the living room, @dougaitkenworkshop’s artwork Flight Patterns overlooks the airy room.
