ミントデザインズさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ミントデザインズInstagram)「10/20(金)〜、ミントデザインズ青山店にて展示が始まります‼︎ #Repost @designart_tokyo with @use.repost ・・・ DESIGNART TOKYO 2023 10.20(fri) - 29(sun) 【UNDER 30】多くのエントリーの中から選出された5組のUNDER 30をご紹介。注目の展示をお見逃しなく！ ■ In Fill Out | Leo Koda In Fill Out は、3D プリントしたオブジェクトを染料インクを入れたお湯で煮ることで膨らませ、独自の形や色を作り出すプロジェクトです。 “3D プリンターをハイテクノロジーな機械だと捉えることをやめると、未来のクラフトになり得るだろうか。” という疑問からプロジェクトは始まりました。 3D プリンターは魔法の機械のように思われますが、そんなことはありません。基本的には重力の影響が大きく、ノズルから押し出されたプラスチックが垂れ下がっていくことをどのように防ぐかを考えなければいけません。そこで、3D プリンターならではの「インフィル」という充填方法に着目しました。インフィルとは、オブジェクトが充填される際の密度やパターンのことです。煮沸することで、熱で表面が柔らかくなり、中の空気が膨張することで、3D プリンターには欠かすことができないインフィル構造が表面に現れるのです。表面に現れる模様は、まるで装飾のように見えます。しかし、それは内部構造から生まれる必要美なのです。 In Fill Out is a project in which 3D printed objects are inflated by boiling in hot water with dye ink to create their unique shape and color. I focused on a filling method called infill, which is unique to 3D printers. Infill is the density or pattern of how an object is filled. By boiling, the infill structure which is essential for 3D printing appears as the heat softens the surface and expands the air inside. PLA, a thermoplastic derived from renewable resources and compostable in industrial facilities, is used. The high-tech of 3D printing mixed with the low-tech of boiling has created a new value.
