The designer, Koizumi, has focused on creating « fashion pieces that can be treated as art », which he has been working on since the beginning of his career. « ... I began to think about the boundary between fashion and art. As I majored in painting at university, I began creating contemporary art pieces a year ago. The production of artwork has given my many insights that I com not have gained in the process of making the collection. This collection was created using ideas and techniques that came from the process of making art. In this collection, I have tried to create something that is more than just a dress, something that is both a dress and a painting, both fashion and art.
