The King has sent a message thanking the Windrush Generation for their extraordinary contribution to the NHS over the past 75 years. The message was read by Sir Trevor McDonald at the 'Who Cares Wins Awards' earlier this week, at which the Windrush Generation and their descendants were announced as winners of the Christina Newbury Award.
