@skepta turned his dreams into reality with his debut @mainslondon collection 💭
As one of the UK's biggest cultural pioneers, it was only right that Skepta's first-ever fashion show brought the same flair, energy and greatness as his music has delivered for decades.
Mains' debut collection was deeply personal for Skepta. Primarily inspired by his hometown, London, the collection kept things close to home, elevating Mains’ staple pieces to new realms, while ensuring every item remained eminently wearable.
With drop denim jackets featuring his own sketches, hand-embroidered boucle jackets worked on for hours by the man himself and close friends and family in the building to celebrate, Mains' 2023 showcase was a family affair from start to finish, and an emotional occasion for Big Smoke – who insisted that his debut show at London Fashion Week is "just the beginning of something greater than I can imagine."
We caught up with @jmebbkinsta, @headieone, @mikey_pearce and @johnsonorchid backstage at @mainslondon' inaugural Fashion Week appearance to discover how Skepta smashed his debut and delivered "the next evolution of Mains."
