A Paris-based fashion executive, she had arrived by boat at 3 a.m. to discover the resort still in full nightlife swing. “There was lots of activity,” she remembers. “I wondered just where I’d landed.” She quickly fell in love with Patmos—the rocky landscape, the sunny climate— and purchased a rustic home there fashioned from a 17th-century stable that had been in ruins. This outdoor table, made by a local carpenter, is the perfect spot to soak in the isle’s magical light—“white in the morning, purple and pink in the evening,” she says.
