Marlee Matlin is an Academy Award® winning American actress, born in Morton Grove, Illinois. She has broken down barriers in efforts to impact the entire world for the better. Matlin has been instrumental in many activities to grant accessibility to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. She has worked tirelessly for all forms of media to provide Closed Captions. 
 
For #DisneyCreate100, she is donating an original watercolor painted by Disney character artist, Jeff Shelly. It’s classic 1930’s inspired style Mickey Mouse signing “I Love You” in American Sign Language (ASL) in support of @makeawishamerica.
