It all started because we took the team apple picking one year and came back with 200 lbs of apples and weren’t quite sure what to do with so many, so naturally we decided to make some pies. But instead of just apple pie, we baked a few different savory and sweet ones and thought maybe some people might want to come eat pies with us. Our website crashed, 800 people emailed us within a few minutes…and we only had seating for about 25 people. Year after year, Pie Night grew into a few nights, then a few weeks, each year with an entirely new menu of savory and sweet pies, cocktails, plenty of ice cream and cider to go around, and now it’s become our favorite autumn tradition. From those early days (swipe through for a look, back when iPhone cameras weren’t quite as advanced!), to baking pies to bring you some sort of comfort during that first year of lockdown, to a travel-themed menu (since we all couldn’t go anywhere in the pandemic), to pies inspired by our favorite movies and TV shows, we’ve welcomed thousands of you through the years and have baked somewhere around 7,000 pies. I’m excited to welcome you to SoHo for this year’s Pie Night - when we look back at 10 decades of history and pop culture through pie!
