Harmony and reunion at Aesop Jing'An Kerry Centre.

The tiles on the floor of this Shanghai store harbour tales of endurance and transformation: they were made by Yi Design, who collect local ceramic waste to create highly durable recycled tiles and bricks that are evocative of past lives. It is a thread which runs throughout the store’s design—the metaphor is a broken ceramic bowl put back together with care and precision; the physical reality is one of re-use and resourcefulness.
