I post this every year for you to see and hear from one of my greatest heroes. Volume way up and please take 3 mins of your day. It’s worth it… If you’ve seen it, may I suggest you watch it again? This puts everything in perspective in literally three minutes and 26 seconds. This excerpt from Carl Sagan’s book Pale Blue Dot (1994) was inspired by an image taken, at Sagan’s suggestion, by Voyager 1 on Feb 14, 1990.
From a distance of about 3.7 BILLION MILES (6 BILLION Km) Voyager 1, which had completed its primary mission and was leaving the Solar System, was commanded by NASA to turn its camera around and take one last photo of Earth across a great expanse of space, at the request of Carl Sagan. These words written so many years ago are still relevant today. I don’t know who did this video or who Mi2Leathal is but I am super grateful they did.
