The making of L'Humour.
Delvaux’s L’Humour pays homage to La Trahison des images, one of Renee Magritte’s most famous paintings depicting a pipe with the quote “Ceci n'est pas une pipe.” The L’Humour is made with a 3D bourdon stitch embroidery technique to apply the House twist on Magritte’s quote — “Ceci n'est pas un Delvaux” — to black Box Calf leather.
