カリッサ・ムーアさんのインスタグラム写真 - (カリッサ・ムーアInstagram)「“A pumpkin!!” 😂 On my way back out to the lineup after breaking my board again (for those of you who didn’t see, there is a 2022 version of this fiasco) and another long exhausting runaround during my elimination round heat, with time rapidly ticking down, feeling a bit overwhelmed with the task at hand, a big, beautiful, perfect, pumpkin shell appeared. It was the little reminder I needed in that moment to slow down, breathe and stay present. A little back story… The whole week leading up to the start of the event Luke and I have been in competition with @gabriela_bryan_ and her mom to see who could find the most of these sweet sea urchin shells (just in case you were wondering, we are winning!) We got addicted to the simple joy of finding these treasures and melted away hours scanning the beaches and scavenging in tide pools. It’s crazy how much beauty you can miss when you’re not looking or are in such a rush to get somewhere. Anyway, it’s the same thing in life. It truly is what they say, it’s the journey not the destination. Slow down and make the most of the moments. There are sprinkles of magic and miracles everywhere, you just have to be open to them ✨ JBay always seems to deliver me exactly what I need the most.
