Lake Nojiri’s shape resembles that of the light pink and white Confederate rose, called fuyō in Japanese. As a result, it is also known as Lake Fuyō. The sounds of the fireworks reverberating off the mountains are truly impressive. *This year’s Lake Nojiri Fireworks Festival is set to be held on July 29th.
