#ChappellRoan’s artist project has long been a love letter to the queer community, her last tour even selecting local drag queens to open for her set. “I just love drag queens,” she says. “There’s nothing more exciting than watching a drag queen. I think they’re the prettiest.” Which is why, mid-interview at 11 p.m on Saturday night, @chappellroan and @averywstone find themselves inside Pieces, one of New York’s oldest gay bars, dancing in between drag performances.
