Being near lakes has always held a special place in my heart, bringing back happy childhood memories of times spent waterskiing and messing around on the water… there is something about the smell of a lake that instantly calms me…and the flat reflective water takes you to another place… It was a day of firsts for me…SUP Yoga…that’s yoga done while standing on a paddle board while floating and balancing on the water…mmm…interesting…certainly mindful (full on concentration actually) but incredibly soothing. The ensuing ice bath was less soothing but definitely invigorating… I have always loathed getting into cold water so this was quite mind over matter for me…motivated by my fabulous ice bath cheerleader @melissaodabash and assisted by her fab khaki long sleeved cosi which is exactly what I have been looking for, and beautifully cut… psychologically I felt warmer for the sleeve which I know is utter nonsense when you are fully submerged with ice cubes floating around you… My @drbarbarasturm facial was sublime but also the equivalent of a sports massage for my face… I had never even thought about how much tension we can carry in our facial muscles…trust me we do, or I do, but my skin loved it ... The gong bath was another first … possibly not as relaxing as I had imagined… but considering we are all a collection of vibrating molecules there must be something in the vibrations that come from a gong …I’m just not sure how that works…but I floated away from this oasis of calm in the Cotswolds cocooned in my Wakeley maxi cashmere hoodie...a heavenly day... #Amandawakeley #thelakesbyyoo #wellness #icebath #health #wearingwakeley #meditation #cotswolds #cosmoss」7月7日 0時45分
