“There are less female directors now than there were three years ago,” says @エヴァ・ロンゴリア. “There are less Latinos in TV and film than there were three years ago.”

On June 9, Longoria will make her feature directorial debut with #FlaminHotMovie, the origin story of the snack created by Richard Montañer, a janitor at a Frito-Lay factory in Rancho Cucamonga at the time.

“You can't be what you can't see, and Hollywood gets to define what heroes look like. I thought, ‘Oh my god, this is an opportunity to define a new hero.’ And that hero happens to look like me.”
