At first I was so sensitive to the cold, especially after getting so used to the warm waters in Bali, but now two months in I can proudly say I am officially an Irish Sea swimmer! I must admit, there aren’t many other things that make you feel this good afterwards. No matter how tired we may feel, the water is like an instant renewal and reset. You go in to the water one person, and out a happier one. You’ll notice everyone gets out of the water with a big smile on their face! And usually that very typical “oh it’s lovely once you’re in” which never seems to help anyone actually get in 😆. I could reel off all the scientific health benefits of cold water swimming, but instead I’d rather stick to saying how lovely it is to include this in a new lifestyle that we’re carving out for ourselves while in Ireland.
