Eight grid works by Nan Goldin (@nangoldinstudio) are on view in Gagosian’s booth at Frieze New York (@friezeofficial). The fair is open at The Shed (@theshedny) through May 21.

Goldin selects the photographs for her grids according to formal or psychological themes. The grid format, with which she has been working for over twenty years, emerged from the same associative impulse as her slide shows.
