StreetArtGlobeさんのインスタグラム写真 - (StreetArtGlobeInstagram)「Portrait of the Dwarf Morgante. Painted in around 1550 by Bronzino and housed in Palazzo Pitti (Pitti Palace). The figure portrayed in this picture is Cosimo l's favourite dwarf Braccio di Bartolo, nicknamed Morgante. The canvas is painted on either side, showing us the dwarf both from in front and from behind. The two scenes capture different moments in a bird hunt, one of the Duke's preferred pastimes. On the front we see the start of the hunt with Morgante holding an owl (used as bait) on a leash, its wings unfurled, while a jay, a bird commonly found in the woods in Tuscany, flies overhead in the top right-hand corner. Below we see two butterflies, one in flight, the other concealing the dwarf's genitals. The narrative continues on the back, with a surprise in store. We also found two additional artworks featuring Morgante in the palace, the first being a marble sculpture of Morgante riding a turtle, and the second being a water fountain 🐢💦」5月19日 0時08分
