I was made aware that May 5th is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Native Women and Girls Day. With the late post I hope to still address this issue, as this is still a epidemic among Americans and Canadians. as of 2021, 5203 missing and indigenous girls were reported to the FBI. As of 2022 as many as 4000 indigenous, women and girls have believed to be killed or have gone missing in Canada over 30 years. The numbers are staggering, the daily treatment & violence is disgusting, the ignorance and lack of attention (even on my part) is no less than horrifying. These women deserve more, these women have always deserved more & I am sorry.
