Dear Karl
I’ve been spending the past 4 years thinking about you nearly everyday. I remember the sound of your voice like you were speaking to me yesterday or the way you pronounced my name with your French accent. The feeling of your leather gloves while you’d hold my hand proudly, looking at the computer screen to see the pictures we had just shot together. Monday will be about you. We will celebrate you.
The best part is that knowing him, if he was still here, he probably would show up late to the Met or not show up at all. He was a low key man.
The second picture in the slide is the first time I met him, the third one is the last day I saw him.
You gave me so much. I will be grateful for you forever!
