Here are five things you can do:
1. Cut out inflammatory omega-6 oils: Refined polyunsaturated oils such as sunflower oil reduce inflammation in your body, exacerbating acne.
2. Get your hormones tested: Hormone imbalances are one of the major causes of acne. If your acne is on your chin or jawline, this is a pretty good sign it might be caused by hormones.
3. Identify food sensitivities: Some of the most common are gluten, dairy, eggs, and soy.
4. Heal your gut: The health of your gut often shows in your skin. Prioritize gut health by eating a low-toxin, anti-inflammatory diet.
5. Don’t over-wash your face: When you over-wash your face, your skin gets irritated and produces more oil. This leads to more clogged pores and acne.
