It’s been a rough couple of months for California. The surf has been mediocre — at best — the water cold and the sand weird (at least in some areas). But help is on the way. It actually started this past weekend — far from epic, but kinda fun off a little combo of swells. And the weather was outstanding, especially after what seemed like months of either rain or at least gray skies.
The next couple of days’ll have a similar vibe in the surf department off a mix of south and northwest swell. The weather won’t be as warm, but should become nice after some low clouds and possibly fog in the morning. A larger south swell will fill in for the end of the week and continue this weekend, setting up the largest southerly surf of the young’ish season.
