I went from maybe pulling in on a flip every once in a while in the midst of my 30 minutes of straight popping to now being mostly consistent with not only rotating them, but rotating them and making them gorgeous, PLUS getting my loop back to being a solid and dependable jump that's probably better than it was before I "retired". Those three weeks, though, were absolutely wild with how I made improvements. One day I would be landing and rotating a bunch of things and feeling really confident in my jumps, but the next day I wouldn't be able to pull in on even one triple. I'd work some exercises and try to push through and maybe squeak out one dicey little loop. Then, the next day, I could have a great time with loops but be completely incapable of pulling in on lutzes. Slowly I've started figuring out how my body works again in relation to my technique and I've started pulling in more and now landing really beautiful triples. I still get stuck some days and go back to the popping and struggling against my body, though, and I'm still trying to learn how to work my way through that again. It's been fascinating seeing how my body responds to corrections and figuring out how my brain works with my muscle memory to make changes slowly but surely over the course of a few weeks. It's been frustrating too, because if I can do it some days why not others, and so on and so forth; but it's nice being where I am and having the evidence that it's working and that I still remember how to actually do these jumps!
